Executive Coaching

I provide one-on-one executive coaching and group coaching to professionals and those who support them.

My coaching involves a mixture of cognitive-behavioural, developmental, personality theory, systems theory and positive psychology approaches.

I take a holistic approach, emphasising the importance of optimising your physical, emotional, cognitive and existential health in your life.  I also believe it is important to see my client’s situation in the context of their broader professional, work and family systems.

I manage the dual responsibilities I have with my clients and their sponsors in a clear, transparent and professional manner.

Maintaining the confidentiality of my clients is of paramount importance to me as is avoiding any real or perceived conflicts of interest.

I engage in regular psychological supervision and ongoing professional development. I also abide by the Code of Ethics set down by the Association for Coaching International.

Leadership Development

I am experienced in working across a broad range of leadership models and frameworks and understand the theories and research that underpin them.

When supporting leaders in their development, I draw upon both my personal experience and my understanding of the relevant theories to provide a tailored approach to my clients. A sample of the types of workshops I am asked to provide can be seen here.

I am also regularly asked to be part of a panel of coaches who are there to support high potential employees participating in in-house leadership programmes.

I believe that leadership for professionals is often different to and broader than mainstream leadership approaches.  Leadership for professionals is also influenced by the professional ethics and responsibilities that govern the professions.  It is influenced by the different settings in which professionals work and the special expectations that people have of those working in the professions.

Wellbeing and Resilience Programmes

I have been running regular Stress Management and Wellbeing workshops for law students and legal practitioners since 2011.

I also facilitate regular group supervision sessions for lawyers whose clients are particularly stressed, have mental health issues or are traumatised.  These supervision sessions are specifically designed to support lawyers who have a significant vicarious trauma risk because of the nature of the work they are asked to perform.

Over the years, I have developed a suite of lunch time, 90 minute and half day workshops on various wellbeing, resilience and other mental health related topics specifically designed for professionals. A sample of the types of workshops I have been asked to provide can be seen here

Mental Health Programmes

I am a certified Mental Health First Aid Instructor and I regularly facilitate the Standard 2 day Mental Health First Aid Course and the ½ day Blended E-Learning course.

I also conduct private workshops on managing mental health issues in the workplace and promoting the mental health of people working in high performance work teams.
